Series Leaderboard 2024

The Ford Trailseeker Series Leaderboard is a way for riders to track their progress and compare their performance against other riders throughout the series. The leaderboard will be updated after each event, taking into account the rider’s finish position and overall time.

Riders will be ranked based on their points accumulated throughout the series. Points will be awarded to the top finishers in each category, with more points given to those who finish higher.

The top-ranked rider in every distance will be wearing the leader’s jersey to distinguish him/her from the rest of the field.

SERIES STANDINGS

How well you place within a specific group of events (a series). Series points are gender specific, both the male and female race winner gets 4000 for each distance.

The formula consists of 4 facets:

Participation
Points

Every participant gets 100 points for finishing the race.

Position
Points

The winner is awarded 900 points, the last participant is awarded 400 points, the rest of the riders are awarded points according to where they came overall.

Time
Points

The winner is awarded 2000 points, the last participant is awarded 0 points, the rest of the field is awarded points according to their time in relation to the winning time. The Time Points encourage riders to race up to the finish line. For instance, a rider who came second with a 3-second gap to the winner will get much more Time Points than a rider who came second by 5 minutes.

Bonus
Points

The winner is awarded 1000 bonus points, the last participant is awarded 0 bonus points, the rest of the participants are awarded bonus points according to their position in relation to 1st place.

Points
per Event

Start Points + Position Points + Time Points + Bonus Points = Race Points

Points
per Series

Your 4 best results (out of a possible 6) for the Series will count.

This is the same formula that was used in the pioneering days of the National Mountain bike Series. It has been tried and tested, and it works.

Leader's Jerseys

The rider with the most points prior to every series event will be wearing the Leader’s jersey in that event. If the leader is unable to ride, the second rider in the rankings will be the one wearing the jersey.

Let’s race! Even if it’s just your buddy 😉
